Microsoft has been improving its Bing search engine. And an update early in 2017 is to help users attain their health and fitness goals. The first is the feature for search queries like "workouts" or "exercises."

Searching for those related queries on Bing will return a selection of carousels and videos. Users can then use filters to narrow the search by gender, difficulty, target-area, type of exercise, or even type of workout equipment.

And not just the desktop version of Bing. Microsoft is also updating its Bing app to focus on healthy recipe-related searches. Queries like "low-fat recipes" will return a carousel that include "Nutrient" tabs to see calories counts, carbohydrates, fat contents and more.

Bing said that the food search experiences on its app are now “even richer” with quick ways for users to find recipe preparation times, and more for some of the most popular recipe searches.

Users can also find calorie counts by searching, like for example, "calories in a cup of" and adding a food item after the search term. Searches for "foods rich in iron", for example, will return a selection of food in the same carousel-styled results.

Here Microsoft updates its Bing to aim at helping health-conscious users.

For health-concerned people, the update is indeed welcome. With information about how and what to feed on, they can have a better experience in finding healthy recipe and nutrition information.

The function appears to be versatile, and the new search experiences would make it easier for users to meet their health and fitness goals.

With the ability to search for specific dishes, for example, or looking for exercise videos that fit their lifestyle. Users can navigate to the results given to scout the web or further refine the search results based on preferences. The possibility for users is almost limitless.
