Alibaba's Qwen3, with its hybrid thinking architecture combining Mixture of Experts (MoE) models with enhanced reasoning capabilities, is showing a lot promises.

The flagship, Qwen3-235B-A22B, achieves competitive results in benchmark evaluations of coding, math, general capabilities, etc., when compared to other top-tier models such as DeepSeek's DeepSeek-R1, OpenAI o1, OpenAI o3-mini, xAI Grok-3, and Google Gemini-2.5-Pro.

Overall, the benchmark data positions Qwen3-235B-A22B as one of the most powerful publicly available models, achieving parity or superiority relative to major industry offerings.

This time, Alibaba said that the model also excels in web development, translating design specifications into responsive and aesthetic interface.

Users using Qwen can access the 'Web Dev' mode, which enables website creation by having the AI generate fully functional front-end code through simple prompts. This feature caters to both beginners and seasoned developers, allowing the creation of various web elements such as e-commerce pages, product showcases, and contact forms.

Users can instantly launch their sites after code generation, streamlining the development process.

Breaking things down, the Web Dev tool allows Qwen to interpret high-level instructions, (e.g., “Create a product showcase with a parallax effect”), generate HTML, CSS, and JavaScript scaffolding that’s ready to run, develop responsive design, ensuring compatibility across devices, and integrate interactive elements like forms, sliders, and lightboxes.

When the AI returns a complete code bundle, users can ask follow-up prompts (e.g., “Change header font to sans-serif,” “Add a hover animation on images”) to refine.

If they want, they can copy the generated files into any hosting service—Alibaba Cloud’s one-click hosting, Netlify, Vercel, etc.—and have the site goes live.
