Pornhub Launches Its Own VPN Service For Mobile And Desktop Users

Porn and privacy are related. After all, there aren't many people who like the world to know what turn them on.

To make it easier for those users to avoid censors and governments' firewall, the popular adult website Pornhub is launching its own VPN service.

Just like other VPN services in the market, it allows users to use their mobile devices or desktop computer, as if they are located in a different country.

"A VPN, or Virtual Private Network, is a private network you can connect to over a regular Internet connection. When you connect to a VPN, all the data you send and receive becomes encrypted, protecting your privacy online. Another benefit of a VPN is that your virtual location can be modified, which can allow you to access geographically restricted content," said Pornhub describing its service.

The service is called 'VPNhub'. Available for users using Android, iOS, Windows, and macOS.

The mobile versions offer a free ad-supported tier with unlimited bandwidth. Users don't have to create an account to use it. However, they can't use nodes in other parts of the world, as they're restricted to using the nearest server.

And as for the desktop version, users are required to have a premium account called VPNhub Premium.

Pornhub provides a free trial for seven days. But after that seven days, they have to choose between a $13/month plan or a $55 annual subscription.

VPNhub Premium users can enjoy the VPN service with faster connection speeds and no ads. What's more, they're also allowed to switch to other networks other than their nearest server location.

As a VPN, VPNhub is supposed to help users avoid ISP throttling and geographic limitations. Just like what VPN must do, it's designed to let users transmit data anonymously without saving or collecting any of that data. According to the FAQ section of the site, Pornhub said that VPNhub will "never store, collect, sell, or transmit your personal info to third parties."

The service is available worldwide, except for countries that the U.S. forbids domestic companies to do business with.

They include Myanmar, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, and Syria.

Pornhub also said that it has "had reports that our VPN might be blocked in" countries like Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and China.

Founded in 2007, Pornhub is regarded as the largest adult entertainment website on the web. Previously, it has launched a support for cryptocurrency, which allows users to easily make anonymous payments to the site.
