Quora is one of the most popular Q&A platform on the web.
The platform has experienced some minor changes throughout its history. To name a few, it has made images to appear full-width, including its ads, switched to using san serif fonts, to make text more readable, considering that its platform's content is mostly text-based.
By seeing improvements in click-through rates, the platform is again pampering advertisers by adding three new ad targeting options: keyword history, gender and browser targeting.
Keyword History Targeting
This is a mix between the already-existing Quora's keyword targeting and question retargeting options. This ad type can be shown on users’ feeds, topic feeds, and question pages.
As explained by Quora:

Gender Targeting
Quora is making sure that advertisers can target a more diverse audience. With gender targeting, advertisers can show their ads specifically to men or women. Advertisers can find this gender targeting option at the ad set-level under the Demographic Targeting.
Platform and Browser Targeting
Quora already offers advertisers the ability to target its audience by device and mobile platforms. But using the platform and browser targeting, advertisers can target their ads to specific desktop browsers, including Chrome, Safari and Firefox. This for example, should benefit advertisers selling browser-specific software.

Quora is quite often overlooked, especially in the internet world that is dominated with controversies and privacy issues, where Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and others populate most of the tech news headlines.
But for businesses that are looking for more digital marketing options, there are certainly many choices out there to choose from. Quora may seem tamed and quiet, but as a matter of fact, the platform has more than 300 million monthly users.
This makes the popular Q&A platform comparable to Twitter, Reddit and Pinterest.
What makes Quora unique is that, it has targeted audience, whose interests come from people researching specific questions and answers, which often relate to companies, products, and solutions.
In the two years since Quora launched its self-service ad platform, the platform has been steadily adding new features, formats and capabilities. And the three additional ad targeting option, should please advertisers who wish to tap into Quora's audience.
