In this case, Qwen-Image-Edit's ability to understand and execute semantic and appearance-level edits means that users can achieve professional-quality results without the steep learning curve associated with traditional software.

Qwen-Image-Edit excels in semantic editing tasks, enabling operations like object rotation, intellectual property creation, and concept alterations. It also supports appearance-level edits, such as adding, deleting, or inserting elements into images, providing users with comprehensive control over their visual content.

Until this point, Qwen-Image-Edit's abilities are pretty much similar to a bunch of other capable LLMs. This is where Alibaba stepped things up a bit.

To make this happen, the team at Alibaba built the advanced image editing model with a 20 billion parameter architecture.
