The Death Of Aaron Carter, And How The Internet Started Bullying His Ex-Fiancée

Aaron Carter was once the lovable child star.

When he first came to fame as a teen pop singer in the late 1990s, he managed to quickly establish himself as a star among preteen and teenage audiences at the time.

The younger brother of Nick Carter from Backstreet Boys, the young Aaron entered the entertainment industry at the tender age of seven, and made his debut in 1997, at the age of nine. His first album successfully sold more than a million copies worldwide. His second album sold more than three million copies in the U.S. alone.

He was the child star the world loved.

His career spans for more than a couple of decades.

Despite enduring personal issues, Aaron continued performing, both on stage and off stage, until he passed away on November 5th, 2022, a few days before the release of his sixth and final album.

Aaron Carter suffered from alcohol and drug addiction, as well as mental health issues.

Aaron had been candid about his mental health issues and substance abuse problems throughout the years, previously opened up about becoming sober.

"The person that I am today — I want to be a better version of [the person] I was the day prior to that. So tomorrow, I want to be a better version of myself than I was the day before that," he said at the time.

"So that’s really what I’m striving for and really just peace and serenity and exercising those things more. And really holding my own self accountable for my shortcomings. You can use your willpower to make the difference with yourself. You gotta be able to recognize how you look, how you feel, and you gotta know that your body is a temple and you need to cherish it and take care of it."

But sadly, the former child superstar didn't see the fruition of this.

Aaron died about a year after the birth of his first child, Prince Lyric Carter.

"Goodnight to my soulmate love of my life. RIP,” said Aaron's ex-fiancée, Melanie Martin, who posted a TikTok video sobbing, shared via her Instagram Story on Sunday, November 6.

“Tonight I imagine myself laying on your tattoo chest as I fall asleep on yours I did for 3 years.”

"My silly love,” Melanie captioned a video of Aaron dancing, reminisced over her happier times with Aaron, with whom she shared 12-month-old son Prince. "You made me want to wake up every day to this. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH."

In addition to Melanie, who experienced a rocky, on and off relationship with the I Want a Candy singer, friends, fans and family members, including Aaron’s older brother, Nick, and his twin sister, Angel, mourned, and also paid tribute to Arron's passing.

While many of his fans mourn for the death of Aaron, who passed away at the age of 34 in his home, and showed empathy, the internet doesn't share that same feeling towards Melanie.

Fans of the troubled singer have gone so far as to wish Melanie dead and claim she’s responsible for the death of the That’s How I Beat Shaq singer.

Some said that it's odd for Melanie to literally leave the house a day after her lover died, with others saying that she's acting "weird."

Aarons fans were also accusing her of stealing his possessions.

And if that wasn't making her life harder, some of Aaron's fans were even harassing her, and even spooking her in person.

According to sources, ever since Aaron died, going online has been a nightmare for Melanie because she's getting so many hateful messages from the singer's supporters.

With the constant barrage of negative comments and tags, the model had to deactivate her Instagram account.

This happens for several reasons.

For example, the tumultuous relationship between them had the moment when Melanie was arrested for felony domestic violence against Aaron in 2020.

She was released after posting $50,000 bail.

Then, earlier this 2022, Melanie accused Aaron for breaking her ribs during a fight in February, and that she requested a restraining order against him at the time.

Allegedly during a live stream a few days before his death, Aaron said that a person named Melanie told him that he's going to die.

Aaron Carter was found dead at his home in Los Angeles, inside a bathtub.

As more details continue to emerge around his personal life and those close and dear to him, Melanie was seen moving her belongings out of the house she shared with Aaron.

During the process, L.A. County Sheriff's Office deputies were present. This happened after fans of Aaron were showing up at his home, and have been peering into the house or cars through windows.

Soon after Aaron Carter's death, Melanie Martin moved her belongings out of the house, attracting some negative comments from social media users.

The police was called after Melanie asked them to "keep the peace," as she retrieved her belongings from the house.

While police stand and watch, a number of moving trucks were seen parking outside the Lancaster, California home.

But it's worth noting that the authorities were particularly present, the moment Aaron's death was still under investigation.

After the police is cited saying that no crimes were committed at the residence and that they consider this to be a civil matter, and also after Melanie was done moving, the police has since left the place.

Months after Aaron's death, the singer's mother shared a series of graphic photos that she said were taken at the scene of his death.

Jane Carter shared the images in a Facebook post alongside a caption in which she said she’s still looking for answers regarding the circumstances of her son’s death.
