Japanese Porn Star Murdered Her 'Don Juan' Husband: When Gold-Digger Meets Virality

28/04/2021

Japanese internet usage is kind of different than those in the West.

While big social media platforms, like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter and others are present, they aren't as dominant in Japan. Instead, homegrown platforms like Line, which offers messaging, social networking, and even payment services, have carved out significant market shares.

Japanese do engage in social media, their preferences and platforms may differ from what you typically see in the West.

What's more, Japanese netizens are known for their affinity for anonymity online. This leads to a vibrant culture of pseudonyms and handles, where individuals may express themselves more freely than they would under their real identities.

Saki Sudo, is known for her role in Japanese Adult Video industry, or JAV.

And this time, she made online headlines not for doing sexual intercourse on camera, but for murdering her husband.

Saki, who is 25-years-old, is accused of murdering her millionaire husband, just months into their marriage.

Kosuke Nozaki, president of a liquor sales company and real estate business, was found dead on a sofa, at the second floor of his home in Wakayama Prefecture on May 24, 2018.

The wealthy man died at the age of 77.

According to the police's investigation, the night before his death, Kosuke had dinner with Saki, just like a normal couple.

Then, they went home.

It was initially believed that Kosuke died of natural causes, but toxicology reports later detected abnormal high-level of substances in his system.

So here, the police concluded that Kosuke died of acute poisoning.

This spurred suspicions against Saki, who was the last person with him the night he died.

What's more, it was realized that Saki allegedly researched stimulants on the internet, according to the investigators that looked for Saki' internet history.

She was initially arrested on suspicion of poisoning the self-described "Don Juan," by having him consume a large amount of a stimulant drug orally.

Whether or not that the drug he took was a stimulant for sex or an enhancer, considering that Sosuke is much older than Saki, the police concluded that Saki had force-fed him the substance, because they there were no injection marks found on his body.

At the time of his death, Kosuke also drank a lot of alcohol.

Coincidentally, Kosuke's dog also died a few days earlier.

This led to the speculation that Saki tested her killing method on the dog first.

Following Kosuke's death, investigators dug the dog's remains for further analysis.

Kosuke Nozaki was a rich man, with assets that span from his various businesses.

In one of his books, Kosuke, a businessman based in western Japan, wrote that he spent ¥3 billion to woo 4,000 beautiful women.

"The reason I make money is to date attractive women," he wrote.

His best-selling autobiography was titled Don Juan of Kishu, referring to the region where he lived.

"I have no interest in cars or houses. Instead, I have a boundless desire to have sex with beautiful women."

In it, he likened himself to the mythical Spanish playboy Don Juan.

"When I find a woman of my type, tall and voluptuous, I would tell her … I want to go out with you and have sex with you … I’ll give you ¥400,000 if you agree."

In a 2018 book, Kosuke wrote that he met a woman believed to be Saki, when she helped him after he fell down at a Tokyo airport.

This was when the two became close.

Physically, Saki, being tall and voluptuous, was indeed Kosuke's type.

Kosuke married Saki with not much fanfare.

It's also believed the moment was a turning point for Saki, in which she quit being a porn star.

Saki reportedly told her family that she was moving from Sapporo to work at her friend’s real estate business, but did not reveal she was married.

What most people knew of her was that, she posted many photos of expensive vacations to her social media pages. A former classmate told the outlet she "never mentioned having a job but boasted about her expensive clothes and said she had plenty of money."

Saki told her friends that she paid for trips that she shared on social media with the money she gained from her various investments.

And when Kosuke left a will saying that he wanted to donate ¥1.3 billion to a city he had lived in, Suki had to move fast.

Saki allegedly knew that as his wife, he can legally get half of his fortune, if she is widowed.

And as his legal heir, she was entitled to a portion of his assets, despite the will.

What's more, sources claimed that Kosuke wanted a divorce before the alleged murder, the sources said.

Saki, who is from Sapporo, told at least one of her friends that she married Kosuke in February 2018 because he agreed to give her ¥1 million every month, according to the friend.

The police then tried to understand how Saki planned to secure the money after the murder.

For starters, the police suspected that she was planning to sell at least one of the expensive paintings Kosuke owned

The man owned several expensive artworks among other luxury items, according to the sources.

Then, it's realized that Saki also moved several times following the alleged murder, before settling down in a condominium in Tokyo’s Shinagawa Ward.

Before, she often stayed in Tokyo.

She also had allegedly made herself president of her husband's real estate empire just two months before the murder, and called an out of meeting between general shareholders, where she announced herself the chair and representative director with an annual pay of ¥1.5 million.

It was also reported that she "shed no tears" when she learned of Nozaki's death, and was spotted "laughing and playing games on her smartphone during his funeral."

Others claim she was planning to move abroad before her arrest but her plans were hindered by restrictions due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.

It's worth noting that Kosuke once said that he had been warned that his wife married him only for his money after she was spotted on extravagant shopping trips. Kosuke dismissed those claims, and in his memoir, he said that he is confident that "I will be happy."

He also credited frequent sex to be the savior of all marital woes.

"Our time in the bedroom is also fun. I'm convinced that is the secret to staying young."

"We have a quota of sex three times a day and I don't need Viagra. I know having so much sex may cause my death, but if I can die having sex and go to heaven then I am good."

It's also worth Kasuke had been married three times, and that Saki was his third wife.

The murder case involving Saki Sudo and her husband, Kosuke Nozaki, gained widespread attention and became a media frenzy.

When the West came to know about this case, her name shot up in popularity, and that in some forums, like Reddit, an increasing number of people started looking for her videos, asking for their codes.

Saki denied the allegations during voluntary questioning before her arrest on April 28.
