But in an unexpected twist, one ingenious modder has symbolically ended the console wars.
A Chinese creator known as XNZ built a single machine that houses a PlayStation 5, an Xbox Series X/S, and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 all in one.
She called her creation the 'Ningtendo PXBOX 5.' The main components include:
- PlayStation 5 motherboard: providing Sony’s hardware and exclusive game access.
- Xbox Series S motherboard: chosen for its smaller footprint compared to the Series X, making integration easier.
- Nintendo Switch 2 motherboard: compact and portable, fitting neatly into the triangular arrangement.

- Custom cooling system: the heatsink and fans are positioned to dissipate heat across all three boards simultaneously.
By dismantling each console and re-engineering their components into a single chassis, she created a "super console" that allows seamless switching between platforms.
The exterior design is a triangular chassis, with each face dedicated to one of the three systems: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Instead of stacking consoles or simply housing them side by side, the modder arranged their motherboards in a tri-fold design, angled against each other.
This layout allowed her to connect a single large heatsink to all three main APU cores, ensuring efficient cooling without needing three separate systems of fans and vents.
As for the unique triangular heatsink, XNZ used a method known as lost-wax casting.
She first created an object out of an easy-to-melt piece of material, like wax or plastic, and then coat that material in a heat-resistant material. Then, she heated that object so only the the more meltable insides melted so she could then pour molten metal into it, which cools and hardens into the desired shape.
The device itself is striking in both appearance and engineering: it isn't bulky despite housing three systems. It has a clean, industrial aesthetic that resembles a high-end PC tower more than a Frankenstein mashup.
Each side of the triangle has subtle markings to indicate which console is active, and switching between them takes only a few seconds.
The modder also ensured that the system boots into the correct dashboard depending on the chosen platform, making transitions seamless.
What makes this build remarkable is not just the technical achievement but the philosophy behind it.
By combining the PS5, Xbox Series S, and Switch 2 into one chassis, XNZ demonstrated that the barriers between platforms are more about corporate ecosystems than hardware limitations. Her design proves that with ingenuity, it’s possible to unify the gaming experience into a single, elegant device.
