'No Wonder Hitler Wanted Rid Of Them,': Said A Banker On Social Media, Which Got Her Fired

The relationship and situation between Israel and Palestinian's Hamas is always complex and volatile, and that at every single moment, every day, there is a constant risk of renewed violence.

This time however, things have escalated to a different level, when Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip launched deadly barrage of attacks, consisting of thousands of rockets into the unsuspecting Israel. Hamas, which is considered an armed terror group, also infiltrated into Israel's land by land and sea, and also through the air using paragliders.

Multiple explosions and blasts were heard over Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and in southern Israel. Inside buildings and on the streets, people were killed.

This surprise attack has angered Israel, and sent its officials into a fury.

When speaking about wars or conflicts, there is always at least two sides and two different opinions.

Nozima Husainova

And Nozima Husainova, a 25-year-old banker working for Citigroup Inc. was one of the billions of people who tuned in to follow the news about the escalated tension between the Hamas and Israel.

But apparently for her, the internet attacked her when she blatantly said that literally, the Israel deserved being attacked by the Hamas.

The personal banker expressed this in a post on her Instagram account, saying that “No wonder why Hitler wanted to get rid of all of them.”

She added a smiley face emoji at the end of the post.

Her hatred towards Israel was expressed following the Israeli's alleged attack on a hospital in Gaza that killed at least 500 people.

'Hey Citi, does your commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion include nazis?' wrote a user on X, formerly Twitter.

'What does it say about Citi,' asked another user.

"This is NOT inclusiveness and your organization needs to fire her," expressed another.

"Where can I send a complaint about one of your employees, Nozima Husainova, praising Hitler's extermination of Jews?" complained yet another user.

It didn't take long before the post divides the internet, because some people do sided with Nozima.

Because of the virality, the post also caught the attention of her employer at Citi.

"We are investigating this matter and taking appropriate disciplinary action, We strongly condemn antisemitism and other hate speech," the bank initially said in a post on X.

As a result of this, Nozima is fired from her job.

This was confirmed by Citi.

"We terminated the employment of the person who made the revolting antisemitic comment on social media. We condemn antisemitism and all hate speech and do not tolerate it in our bank," a Citi spokesperson said.

The company added that it will "continue to maintain a supportive and inclusive work environment."

It's worth noting though, that soon after Nozima realized how her stance against the Israel garnered a lot of attention, she quickly deleted the Instagram Story.

But again, it was too late for her, because some internet sleuths managed to find her LinkedIn page, and discovered who she is and doxed her.

Nozima Husainova

It's said that the woman graduated from CUNY Brooklyn College in June 2021 with a degree in finance. She then worked as a personal banked at Citi, with a role "to foster relations with customers to build loyalty and to help increase sales to individual consumer clients."

Her LinkedIn profile suggests that she was in her second year with the Wall Street bank.

Following the criticisms, Nozima also deleted her LinkedIn page.

The ultra-divisive pro-Palestine posts come as Irsrael and its archrival enter their 12th day of war.

And Citi’s move to fire Nozima came comes after a flurry of business executives threatened to refuse employment opportunities to supporters of the Hamas attacks.

Citigroup CEO Jane Fraser referenced the bank's presence and workers in Israel in an earnings call a week before, saying that "we are a significant bank in the country."

At this time, thousands of Israelis and Palestinians have died since the October 7 attack on Israel by Hamas.

In the aftermath of the attack, tensions have flared in the U.S., including alleged crimes committed against both the Jewish and Muslim communities.
