With more people depending on the internet, many people are also turning on the it to look for recipes. As the search giant on the web, Google has already provided suggestions for this. But things can be overwhelming for users.
Google has an immense list of recipes with its ability to provide suggestions for those queries. But too much is just too much. And this is where it is introducing advanced recipe search to help users in narrowing down recipes' search result.
With a new UI, users can choose different options in a carousel at the top of the search result.
"If you're planning to make seven-layered dip, a quick search will bring up options ranging from 'healthy' to 'vegan' to 'bean dip' or 'taco dip' (to name a few)," wrote Duncan Osborn, product manager at Google. "Or type 'chicken wings' into the Google app to bring up all kinds of crowd pleasers. Once you select your flavor or category, you'll see top recipes from a wide variety of sources with easy-to-read step-by-step instructions."
Tapping on the available carousels will refresh the search result page with a new card-styled search result that offers ingredients and the recipe rating at a quick glance.
The feature is somehow similar to the option available within Google image search. But unlike image search that shows different images in the same category, the advanced recipe search can also help users in finding new recipes.

Users can also select multiple suggestions at once, and Google will filter the search results based on the selected terms.
Google introduces the feature initially on its mobile apps for Android and iOS with no update required. The feature was first spotted back in December 2016, and Google has been testing the UI for quite some times before launching it to public.
