The AI trend is shifting, thanks to generative AI becoming the hype of the tech world.

Since OpenAI introduced ChatGPT, it created ripples that spread throughout the industry and beyond. This sent rivals into frenzy, forcing them to introduce their own generative AI-powered products to compete and/or piggyback the trend.

Opera is one of them.

The browser maker has introduced its first implementation of ChatGPT by bringing the OpenAI product into the sidebar of its desktop browser, and later, also to help users in generating short summaries of any webpage or article.

It later announced 'Aria', its very own browser AI.

This time, it's going a step further.

According to a blog post, Opera said that it's introducing Aria to iOS.

Aria, according to Opera, is a revolutionary browser AI service born from the fruitful collaboration between Opera and OpenAI.

The browser uses the latter's generative AI capabilities, by integrating it with the former's own Composer architecture. This in turns allows users of the browser to harness OpenAI's product to get real-time web results.

What this means, Aria can help users in various collaborative tasks, including information retrieval, text or code generation, and even product inquiries.

By tapping into the potential of the generative AI, Aria should make itself an invaluable tool.

As of August 16, 2023, Aria has become readily available to all Opera browser users on iOS.

What this means, whether people are on a Mac, Windows, Linux, Android, or iOS device, Aria is there to empower them.

Before this, Opera announced in a July blog post, that Aria had already amassed a staggering user base of over 1 million individuals.

According to co-CEO Lin Song:

"Aria, our newly-introduced and free AI solution, has already exceeded 1 million users."

"We’re witnessing enthusiastic user engagement with AI tools, especially Aria. As a result, we are delighted to extend Opera’s AI tool to our iOS users."

At this time, Aria is available on more than 180 countries worldwide, including the EU and the U.S..

To get started with Aria, users have to have an Opera account.

Once logged in, users simply have to open the browser AI in the main menu and start exploring the new way of browsing.
