Continuing its rapid success, Apple's App Store crosses another milestone: marking 100 billion downloads by customers since the store was created in 2008.
With that massive number, so far, Apple has paid developers $30 billion (approximately $0.30 paid to developers for every app downloaded). In 2014, Apple said it paid $10 billion to developers on that year alone.
The news was delivered by CEO Tim Cook. This was one of Apple's major milestone after announcing 1 billion iOS devices shipped as of November 2014.
