And speaking of visual presentation, Madonna is among those celebrities who frequently change their appearance, in ways that the changes are bold and plainly visible.
During the 65th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 5, 2023, one of the main ceremonies was when Madonna presented Sam Smith and Kim Petras.
But Madonna being Madonna, in which she's known for her extravagant appearances, many on the internet has mocked her "unrecognizable" face.
In response, the Frozen singer, took it to Instagram, where she slams the internet.

Once again I am caught in the glare of ageism and misogyny. That permeates the world we live in.
A world that refuses to celebrate women past the age of 45. And feels the need to punish her. If she continues to be strong willed, hard-working and adventurous.
I have never apologized for any of the creative choices I have made nor the way that I look or dress and I’m not going to start. I have been degraded by the media since the beginning of my career but I understand that this is all a test and I am happy to do the trailblazing so that all the women behind me can have an easier time in the years to come.

In her unapologetic rant, the controversial singer seems to not care about whatever the internet is saying, and that she is only doing what she does best in the entertainment industry.

What concerns her here, is how viewers were more focused on her looks, rather than acknowledging the "history making" moment she was presenting at the 2023 Grammys.
She created the response with a video showcasing behind-the-scenes look of her with other fellow celebrities, including her rude and naughty gestures with Sam Smith, Cardi B, and Jozzy.

Allegedly, the Ray of Light singer simply wants to get back to her 'heyday' looks.
Many people, even her own fans, started seeing Madonna's appearance as her strong and desperate attempt to stop aging and remain young.
In the process, despite the wonders of plastic surgery, she's making herself almost unrecognizable.
The entertainment industry is certainly unforgiving. And in the U.S., which has long been the center of the industry, Madonna is competing in an intensely competitive, male-dominated, and youth-obsessed world.
While the Material Girl does know how to stay in the headlines, the shocking appearance of her during the Grammy Awards has gained her a lot of sympathy.
A number of plastic surgeons believed that Madonna had gone under the knife, and had a facelift, nose job, and “pulled back” skin, fillers, and more.

About a week later, Madonna sent another message concerning this, and to also address those people who were still wondering about her Grammy Awards appearance.
"Look how cute i am now that swelling from surgery has gone down. Lol," the music icon tweeted.
The 64-year-old singer followed her tweet with a crying laughing emoji.
Along with her caption, she included an image of herself sitting crossed-legged with a jacket, ripped jeans, braids and a cap that read "Spiritually Hungry."
And again, Madonna being Madonna, she is like confirming that she will never apologize to haters who got offended by her creative choices.
With the tweet, she wants to show the world that she is the one who is having the last laugh.
