Apple has officially released iOS 15, the fifteenth major release of its mobile operating system for compatible iPhone and iPod Touch devices.
As the successor of iOS 14, released to the public on September 20, 2021, this version of the operating system brings a lot of additions to the table.
The most notable feature would be 'Focus'.
What it does, is allowing users to set their "state." such as do not disturb, work, sleep, or custom. Based on the selected Focus, users can then set the type of notification they want to receive, and from which app. Using Focus, users can also choose which page and apps to show on their Home screen.
Focus also controls the interactions with Contacts.
After Focus, comes the design part. While iOS 15 introduces a subtle cosmetic change if compared to its predecessor, the change is pretty noticeable.

Other notable features include updates to FaceTime, Maps, Camera and Live Text, Safari, Weather, as well as a new sharing and content display options.
“iOS 15 introduces new ways to stay connected, powerful updates that help users focus and explore, and intelligent features to get more done with iPhone,” Apple said in a statement.
Others include user-created tags in Notes, and privacy features such as Mail Privacy Protection and on-device speech recognition for Siri.
Health data can also be shared.
Apple has also upgraded its Wallet app so users can store digital keys such as for homes, offices, cars.
While 5G didn't make the spotlight when Apple announced iOS 15, it should be noted that with iOS 15, Apple allows more apps and systems to use the faster connectivity than iOS 14.
Apple makes iOS 15 available for iPhone 6S and later models.
