Elon Musk Taking Over Twitter, A Week Later, His Ex-Girlfriend Vanishes From The Platform

Elon Musk, the billionaire and serial entrepreneur, is the richest man on Earth, with a net worth exceeding $200 billion, according to Bloomberg.

He was given until the end of October 2022 to complete his $44 billion acquisition of Twitter or face a court battle with the company.

Just before the deadline, he made a grand entrance to the company's main office, bringing a kitchen sink, and documented the event on Twitter, saying: "Entering Twitter HQ – let that sink in!"

After updated his Twitter account description to "Chief Twit," and finally finalizing his acquisition, the billionaire made a number of adjustment to the company.

Not many are happy with his decision.

And among the many displeased people, apparently include his ex-girlfriend, Amber Heard, who seemingly responded by deleting her Twitter account.

Elon Musk and Amber Heard shared a brief moment of love together as a couple.

While the two have known each other for years, it only began in 2012 when the SpaceX founder first show his interest in the Aquaman.

They were first spotted together in 2016, sparking romance rumors. The two went official with their relationship in April 2017.

The relationship made headlines also because both Heard and Musk were weathering public breakups.

Whereas Musk was dealing with his divorce with Westworld actress Talulah Riley, Heard was also having a divorce with actor Johnny Depp.

Both Musk and Heard were in a relationship for four months before calling it quits in August 2017.

The two dated again, on and off, in the following months, before breaking up for good in 2018.

Elon Musk, Amber Heard
Amber Heard and Elon Musk were once lovers.

"Elon and I had a beautiful relationship, and we have a beautiful friendship now, one that was based on our core values. Intellectual curiosity, ideas and conversation, a shared love for science. We just bonded on a lot of things that speak to who I am on the inside. I have so much respect for him," Heard said at the time.

Despite Musk publicly stating that there's no bad blood between himself and Heard, Depp referenced Musk and Heard's relationship in his defamation trial.

While Musk didn't say anything bad about Heard, he did share a glimpse of how their relationship was.

"Well, she broke up with me more than I broke up with her, I think," Musk once said of his relationship with Heard.

"I was really in love and it hurt bad," adding that he "cannot be happy" without a girlfriend.

"I will never be happy without having someone. Going to sleep alone kills me," he said. "It's not like I don't know what that feels like: Being in a big empty house, and the footsteps echoing through the hallway, no one there — and no one on the pillow next to you. F—. How do you make yourself happy in a situation like that?"

Amber Heard suddenly disappeared from Twitter
Amber Heard suddenly disappeared from Twitter.

It was on November 3rd, that the actress' Twitter account, @realamberheard has been deactivated.

A screen on the page reads, "This account doesn't exist."

Her last on post was on Instagram on June 1st, where she she shared her statement after the verdict in her Virginia defamation trial with ex-husband Johnny Depp.

It was since that time, that Heard began having a life off the spotlight, and has been reportedly been in Spain under the pseudonym Martha Jane Cannary.

While the timing might just be a coincidence, Elon Musk taking over Twitter has indeed received quite a controversy.

Musk has said that he wants to promote free speech on the platform, and consider the reinstatement of accounts that the company previously banned, because, for example, they were spreading false information or inciting violence.

Many people are complaining about Musk's plan, the way he fired the many Twitter employees, with some users quitting the social media platform altogether.

These people include celebrities, who said that they are taking a break from or leaving the platform in the wake of Musk's ownership.
