Apple has always been showcasing design and easiness of use on all of its products. And that, the company blends them with premium materials.
And since Jony Ive led the design team at Apple, not only that the company is putting its expertise on its devices, as it also showcased it on the Designed by Apple in California book, by putting it on sale on its online store.
The book is essentially a retrospective paid homage to the design works of Ive since the late 1990s, and to also highlight historic designs throughout Apple’s past, dedicated to the late founder Steve Jobs.
The giant, 300-page design book has 450 photos of Apple products, including the 1998’s iMac G3 to 2015’s Apple Pencil. Typical for Apple, the book was expensive and luxurious, printed on custom-milled sheets of paper with gilded silver edges, using special low-ghost ink.
Available in two sizes, one was for $199, while the other was at $299.
But that is ending, as the company has pulled this book from its store, marking the beginning of the end of Ive’s era at Apple.

A visual history spanning iMac to Apple Pencil, this hardcover volume is both a testament and a tribute to the meticulous processes of design, engineering, and manufacturing that are singularly Apple.
Since Jony Ive has left Apple, and the company seemingly decided to also stop showcasing Ive's work through the book.
The removal of this page suggests that Apple does not plan another print run, at least in the foreseeable future.
While the Apple store still contains a page dedicated, at the moment of 9toMac finding, but the purchase link is leading to an error page.
