Kanye West Restricted In Various Social Media Platforms Following Anti-Jews Remark

The internet, particularly social media platforms, allow people to communicate freely to anyone, anywhere. However, there is a written (and non written-rule) that people should speak responsibly.

Kanye West, or later also known by the name "Ye," is an American rapper, songwriter, record producer, and fashion designer. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential hip hop musicians of all time, as well as one of the greatest musicians of the 21st century.

His name also skyrocketed when he was married to reality star Kim Kardashian.

Despite being a well-known figure, Ye is said to be sensitive and a bit shy.

But that didn't stop him from having numerous controversies.

Kanye is known as an outspoken and controversial celebrity, almost throughout his career. He received both criticism and praise from many, and has been straightforward when it comes to stating his thoughts and beliefs.

For example, Kanye spoke out against homophobia in the hip-hop industry, and criticized the media for the portrayal of black victims, and many more.

And this time, he made yet another controversial statement:

"I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE."

"The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew also You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda."

Kanye West anti-Semitic tweet

Kanye posted the statement, which is a reference to the defense readiness alert used by the U.S. armed forces. But since it targets the Jews, the tweet was considered highly offensive, especially towards the Jewish community.

Twitter responded to the tweet by removing the tweet, saying that he violated the company's policies.

"The account in question has been locked due to a violation of Twitter's policies," a Twitter spokesperson said.

After the tweet is deleted, Kanye posted another tweet, where almost immediately called out Meta’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg, by saying:

"How you gone kick me off Instagram.”

His tweet about Zuckerberg was quickly welcomed back to Twitter by Elon Musk, who confirmed his plans to buy Twitter.

"Welcome back to Twitter, my friend."

It's worth noting that the said Kanye's tweets came hours after Meta restricted his Instagram account over a post that was also seen as being anti-Semitic.

It is said that he posted the anti-Semitic language during an exchange with fellow rapper Diddy.

Instagram has also removed the post.

Just before creating his anti-Jews remarks, Kanye introduced a "White Lives Matter" T-shirt at his Yeezy Season 9 show in Paris, France.

He was seen wearing the T-shirt alongside conservative political commentator Candace Owens.

The phrase has been described by the Anti-Defamation League and Southern Poverty Law Center as a white supremacist hate slogan that originated in 2015 as a racist response to the civil rights movement Black Lives Matter.

This isn't the first time Kanye expressed his anti-Semitism views.

"Man, let me tell you something about George Bush and oil money and Obama and no money. People want to say Obama can't make these moves or he's not executing. That's because he ain't got those connections," Kanye said back in 2013, when he criticized U.S. President Barack Obama.

"Black people don't have the same level of connections as Jewish people ... We ain't Jewish. We don't get family that got money like that."
