The Woman Who Shouted A Plane Passenger Was 'Not Real': Identity Revealed, Ending Online Sleuthing

09/08/2023

The world is already connected to the internet, and that an increasing number of people are starting to rely on the web for its increasing amount of information.

But finding one particular woman was uniquely difficult.

It all began when an American Airlines passenger who went absolutely ballistic on a flight out of Dallas, demanding to get off the plane. She shouted:

"You can say whatever you want, I’m telling you I’m getting the f-ck off, and there’s a reason why I’m getting the f-ck off.

Everyone can either believe it or they can not believe it. I don’t give two f-cks. But I am telling you right now, that motherf-cker back there is not real.

And you can sit on this plane and you can f-cking die with them or not. I’m not going to.”

Because the female started claiming that the aircraft was not safe, her statement created confusion and unrest among the passengers.

As a result, the flight attendants felt that the aircraft needed to be rescreened.

Because of this, all passengers on the flight from Fort Worth to Orlando had to deplane and get screened

For doing what she did, in front of the confused public, inside a crowded airplane, the furious woman became an instant meme, forever enshrined in the viral internet hall of fame.

Since the video that was taken by one fellow passenger of the plane went viral on TikTok and other social media platforms, people have guessed that she was probably drunk, if not high in narcotics or other drugs. Or, she might be mentally ill.

Or, she was saying the truth, like probably had a fiery argument with a person sitting next to her, or perhaps, arguing with a flight attendant.

Some people however, speculated that she might have actually been sitting next to a ghost or some other supernatural creature, or an alien.

This happened early in July 2023, and people were scouting for her identity for literally no avail, until about a month later.

Tiffany Gomas.

In August, she's finally identified.

According to various publications, the woman who went viral in the video, is Tiffany Gomas, a 38-year-old Dallas resident.

The complaint said that Gomas received a verbal criminal trespass notice from the airline manager, explaining she was denied boarding and needed to depart the secure area. Gomas was "distraught" when officers arrived at the gate and attempted to speak to her, which she refused.

After she deplaned, she was escorted to the non-secure area of the airport, but she continuously tried to go back through screening.

She was given a ticket for criminal trespass but refused to sign. But nevertheless, she wasn’t arrested.

Previously reported, the authorities said that the incident started when Gomas got into an altercation with a relative with whom she was traveling. She accused them of stealing her AirPods, according to the police.

It's said that Gomas works as a marketing executive who has also served as vice president of Elevate Brand Marketing. She was even named a “rising star” back in 2017 by a trade publication.

"My life has been blown up. It’s frightening. Things go viral and everything changes," she said. "No one knows anyone else’s story, and no one should judge. No one knows what it’s like."

She said that people were "stalking out" her home, as well as her neighbors, and that they've been “going through” her mail too.

While she said that the news are mostly "inaccurate," but she didn't detail much about it.

Later, she launched her own website, and also uploaded a video to YouTube to describe the situation, in her own words.

In a later interview, Gomas considers herself to be just a regular Dallas woman living a pretty normal life, explaining that she spends her days working on real estate investments, exercising, running errands and taking care of her dogs.

But her outburst abruptly changed her life.

"It was just my worst moment, caught on camera," Gomas said, who claimed that she didn't at first realize the commotion she caused, and the many people who had their phones up to record her.

"It wasn’t until I had a moment to calm down that I was like, ‘This is bad, this is really bad,’" Gomas said. "When I got home, I was like panicking, freaking out, checking out the internet just to see, like searching anything I could. I was literally petrified of what was going to come out."

She said that she wasn't supposed to be on that flight on the first place, explaining that she had an injury to her back.

Gomas also claimed that she had two glasses of white wine in the airport's lounge.

Since the incident Gomas is later referred to as the "Crazy Plane Lady."

Others know her as the "not real" woman.

Her friends told her to "give it 72 hours, no big deal." But months later, her name was still picking up traction on social media.

"It was a unique situation," she said.

Gomas added that she refrained from being online "for the longest time," saying that she did that "for her own mental health."
