The tech world is dominated by the West with the U.S., and the East with China.
And it's at the former that many tech giants that dominate the web reside.
The 2020 U.S. presidential election was the 59th quadrennial presidential election, held on November 3, 2020. At that time, Democrats and former Vice President Joe Biden went against Republican and incumbent President Donald Trump.
And here, Biden won after having 290 electoral votes against Trump's 214.
This makes Biden the President-Elect, to replace Trump as the next President of the U.S..
Following the news, a number of American tech CEOs and Silicon Valley luminaries congratulated President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris for their victory.
From Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos to Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, wife of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, widow of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs and more went to social media network to celebrate.
I look forward to working with the new administration and leaders on both sides in Congress on getting the surging pandemic under control, engaging partners around the world on issues like poverty and climate change, and addressing issues of inequality and opportunity at home.
